Yoshio Sayama passed away on Tuesday, October 24, 2023.
He was born on July 26, 1940 in Brigham City, UT and grew up on a farm in Corinne. Yosh graduated from Box Elder High school in Brigham City and went on to receive his degree in Electrical engineering from Weber State College in Ogden, UT.
He worked at Hill Air Force Base and transferred to Kadena Air Force base in Okinawa, Japan where he worked for 17 years. There he met his wife and the love of his life, Miwako. They were married in September 1986.
After their time in Okinawa, they moved back to Utah where they eventually resided in West Point.
Yosh loved sports, following the Utah Jazz and Weber State basketball. He loved to go golfing with friends especially in Okinawa where he could golf year-round.
He is survived by his wife Miwako, two brothers Dale (Jeannie), Junior (Cheryl) and sister-in-law Sandy.
He was preceded in death by his father Hiroshi, mother Kiyoko and brother Harry.
The family would like to thank all the care givers and doctors who cared for him.
Guest may visit with family from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM on Friday, November 3, 2023. A memorial service will be held from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Russon Mortuary, 1585 West 300 South Syracuse, UT.
