Willis Terrance Edgar, our devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, passed away peacefully at the age of 88 on March 26, 2026, at his home in Farmington, Utah, surrounded by his loving wife and children.
Terry was born on June 9, 1937, in Manassa, Colorado, to Willis Elwyn Edgar and Marvelle Sego. He was the oldest of five children, Gerald Edgar, Diana Haghaghi, Carolyn Leggett and Kathy Pierce.
Terry was happily married to Treesa C. Evans. They were sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple. He was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- day Saints and served in many callings throughout his life.
Terry was preceded in death by his son, Jedediah Edgar, his grandson, Darren Copeland, and, most recently, his sister, Carolyn Leggett.
Terry had a deep love for the outdoors. He cherished camping trips and created countless lasting memories with his children and extended family while visiting lakes and mountains. Family reunions each were always a joy. He especially enjoyed attending Mountain Man Rendezvous. Terry had a passion for rock hunting, fishing, and hunting.
Terry worked alongside his father and brother for many years mining and cutting turquoise. Over the years Terry and his brother Skeege (Gerald) developed an unbreakable bond- they were two peas in a pod and will remain so forever.
Terry had a gift for bringing life and laughter to any gathering. When he was with his brother “Skeege," they entertained all with endless story telling. Many knew him by his nicknames, including “Uncle Gutz” and “Judge.”
Terry is survived by his children; Blaine (Tina) Edgar, Kamee Copeland (Gary), Travis Edgar (Katie), Jana (Brad) Russell, and Sean (Jaden) Edgar; grandchildren: Jer (Katie), Alicia (Henry), Nic (Danielle), Hunter (Heather), Hailee, Jayden (Alex), Will, West, Hyde, Delle, Ruby, River, and Lucca, Seth; great grandchildren: Mackenzee (Tyler), Kaydence (Robert), Aidan, Harper, Haisley, Ellie, Raelynn, Greyson, and soon to be born, Henry.
Terry was blessed to be surrounded by an incredible family and dear friends. Though it was difficult for him to leave his wife and children, we find comfort in knowing he is at peace and that those he loved are supported by a strong and caring community.
Our family extends heartfelt gratitude for the love and support shown during this time and for all who shared in Terry’s life.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Humanitarian Aid or choice of a local assistance program.
