Walter Fred Hegerhorst

Walter Fred Hegerhorst died on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at 7:04 pm. He was born of goodly parents, Fred H. Hegerhorst and Karoline Ohlendorf in Salt Lake City, Utah on May 6, 1934.

He grew up having lots of fun and adventures with his family, ward and stake family (in the Old Cannon Ward) and MANY FRIENDS.

He served a mission to Germany which he DEARLY LOVED and he served in the army in Korea.

He married Karen (divorced) and had twin daughters, JarraLin and JacquaLin. He then married Ora Morgan on May 29, 1969 in the Salt Lake Temple. They have one daughter, Annjanette.

He worked at Hill Air Force Base for over 31 years. He loved his wife, his daughters, the Gospel, serving in the Jordan River Temple Baptistery for over 20 years, his many cats and dogs, going on vacations, especially to Germany, going to see the Temples wherever we were, his brothers; Fred (Vauna), Bill (VaLere), Karl (Mabel), Ronald (Linda) and MANY extended family and friends.

His funeral will be on Saturday September 11, 2021 at 11 AM at the Heritage 5th Ward Building, 6772 South 3420 West, West Jordan Utah, where he will have a viewing starting at 9:30 that morning. He will be buried in the Gunnison City Cemetery (in the Edward Morgan plot) after a luncheon of dad’s favorite meal, Kentucky fried chicken, coleslaw and sugar kuchen.
