Victoria Jane Thomas Hinds

Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt passed away May 19th, 2025.

Born September 12, 1945, in Malad, Idaho being the youngest of 15 children to Harvey and Victoria Thomas.

Vicki dedicated her life to being a true mother and wife in every sense of the word. She cared for her oldest daughter Lisa her entire life and kept her other daughter, Tracy, in line most of hers. She took marriage seriously and spent 50 years with the man with the “bluest eyes she had ever seen” at the bar while picking up her brother. Together, they had two beautiful daughters.

She worked as a beautician doing hair after high school but after having a special needs child, she followed her heart and went to work for the Davis County School District. She found her passion working with special needs children for many years until she retired in 2011. After retirement, she focused on caring for her loved ones.

She kept promising that she would retire if she had grandchildren. That day finally came and she was so excited, she loved, spoiled and doted on “her kids” and showed them the best example of love and kindness that anyone could.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Frank, daughter Lisa, 5 sisters and 6 brothers.

She is survived by her daughter, Tracy Wing (Arlo), grandchildren Addyson and Tanner, Brother Tom Thomas, Sisters Marlene Cahoon and Cleda Freeman and many, many nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at the Bountiful City Cemetery, 2224 South 200 West, Bountiful, Utah. A viewing will be held Thursday morning from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at Russon Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful, Utah, prior to services.
