Vicki (Knowlton) Gerlach, our beloved mother and precious GG, returned peacefully to heaven on August 12, 2026, reunited once again with her eternal companion, Ben.
Vicki was born in Logan, Utah, on July 14, 1954, to Margene (Morris) and George Edward Knowlton. She was the eldest of seven children, followed by Brad, Brian, Terri, Jared, and twins Tyler and Ted. She met the love of her life, Ben Gerlach, and they were sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake City Temple on August 14, 1974. Together they built a life centered on faith and devotion, raising four children: Jason (Pam), Nate (Ana), Adam (Erika), and Kristen. Their joy only multiplied with the blessing of 24 grandchildren.
Vicki had a gift for bringing joy and light wherever she went, and her laugh was truly infectious. She loved spending time with family, teaching elementary school, sharing music, listening to Andrew Lloyd Webber, making popcorn, and ice cold Diet Coke “her one weakness”.
Together, Ben and Vicki instilled deep Christlike virtues in their children and grandchildren, teaching them by example to put others first, serve generously, and leave the world better than they found it. Vicki showed immense grace and love at the end of her earthly journey, waiting patiently to be surrounded by family so each could say their heartfelt goodbyes before Ben welcomed her back into his loving embrace.
Her services and viewings will be held on the following days. An evening viewing will be held at the Russon Mortuary building from 6:00pm – 8:00 pm on Friday, August 21, 2026 at 1585 West 300 South, Syracuse, UT. The Funeral Service will then be held right after the family viewing at 11:00am in the same chapel.
