Vallerie Wilkins transitioned into a peace that she has deserved and had not found for many years. She left behind the earthly constraints of Progressive Multiple Sclerosis to achieve her dream of standing unassisted and again freely moving about with ease. No more wheelchair Val!!
Vallerie can now be found walking and running among those who have left before her, sharing her kind spirit and her incredibly intelligent mind, which she always had to offer but so few were allowed to partake. Val loved her privacy!
Vallerie will be greeted by her mother Melladene Wilkins, her father Russell Mack Wilkins, her maternal grandparents Byron and Bertha Court, as well as paternal grandparents Elwood and Bertha Wilkins. Val will also be exceedingly delighted to see and match wits with her nephew, Cory Sovereen.
The loss of Val’s mother in 2020 was a tremendous loss, one which made Val’s life exponentially more difficult to navigate. Even though there were those who were willing to help take her mother’s place to help her, Val mourned that loss daily. Celebrate the holidays with your mom, Val, and ENJOY!!
Vallerie leaves behind sisters Debbie Bennion (Robert) and Kimberlee Green, as well as a brother Court Wilkins (Vicki) and waves goodbye to many nieces and nephews and their respective children as she departs. She would have also wanted to say goodbye to her aunts, Janice VandeMerwe and Gail Rossberg.
Vallerie will be missed by her nephew Christian Sovereen. Val wished to thank him for his visits, calls, love and support in her final years.
DANCE NOW Val, the many dances that alluded you for years due to failing health and the ills of a broken heart. YOU ARE PERFECT AGAIN! YOU ARE LOVED!
LOVE IS THE GREATEST HEALER. In memory of Val, tell someone you love them in their darkest hour. You have the power to help heal them!
At Val’s request, a small graveside service will be held, at a date to be decided, in the Bountiful City Cemetery where she rests next to her mother and father.
