Tracy Dolbear beloved husband, father, brother and friend passed away on March 2, 2026. He was born on October 25, 1957 in Weisbaden, Germany to Archie and Shirley Dolbear.

Tracy enjoyed an adventurous childhood that growing up in an Air Force family provided. He often shared stories about the places he lived and the many things he and his family experienced.

Tracy is survived by his wife of 40 years, Karlene Asay Dolbear, his daughter Kacie Dolbear, three grandchildren (Oaklie, Paislie, Bearett), his brother Rick Dolbear (Karen), his sister Debbie Ohnsat, four nephews and a niece. He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers (Nick and Terry).

The family would like to thank the Ogden City Emergency Personnel and Police Department who quickly responded to help during a pouring rainstorm and in particular Officer Tippets who remained behind and offered to stay as long as we needed him.

The family will hold private services at a later date. We truly appreciate the loving support of amazing friends and family during this time.

A tribute to her daddy from Kacie:

Tracy was more than amazing - he was the kind of daddy every little girl dreams of having. He always made time for me and made sure my life was filled with fun adventures. By the time I was 4 or 5, he had taught me to drive a truck and at 6 or 7 I was learning to run a front-end loader. He didn’t just teach me how to drive - he taught me how to live. He showed me real-life skills like changing oil, fixing vehicles and working hard for what you have. More importantly, he taught me to be respectful, honest, kind and hardworking. Anyone who knew him knew he would give the shirt off his back to help someone in need. He’d mow a neighbor’s lawn because he wanted to help. If someone needed money, he didn’t hesitate - he was already reaching for his wallet. His heart was pure gold! After meeting Karlene in California, they dated for a while, building a love grounded in friendship and laughter. On a drive home from a visit to Utah they decided to stop in Reno, Nevada and get married wearing blue jeans. That was my dad, no big production, nothing fancy, no fuss, just the basics…Love and his best friend who held his heart for over 40 years. He had his grumpy moments just like we all do, but even then there was always love underneath. My dad loved playing jokes and keeping everyone guessing. Most of the time you never knew if he was telling the truth unless you asked, “Promise?” If he said, “Promise,” that was it - the absolute truth. His three grandkids quickly learned this and used it against him every chance they got! He claimed he was an adult and didn’t have to say “promise” but we all knew better - he was always a kid at heart. He made us laugh a little harder, cry a little deeper and appreciate the little things in life. He leaves behind a space that can never be filled but also leaves memories that can never be taken away! We find comfort knowing that he is reunited with his dad, mom and brothers who went before him. What a beautiful reunion that must have been! You are so missed. You are so loved. And Daddy…I promise!
