Thomas Allen Salisbury (Sudz), born October 13, 1957, in Florence, Colorado, passed away peacefully on April 3, 2026, with his wife by his side. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Taylor Salisbury and Wilma Fay Salisbury, and his brothers, Samuel Salisbury and Richard Salisbury.
Sudz is survived by his devoted wife, Bobbie Salisbury; his stepdaughter, Lenora (Ly Ly); his brother, Bill (“the original Sudz”) Salisbury (Cathy Salisbury); his adopted daughter, Velda Lewandowski; his adopted “mom,” Terry; and his beloved cat, Kolby. He also leaves behind many dear friends and extended family members who will miss him deeply.
Sudz lived a life full of adventure, camping, and hunting. He survived a treacherous rafting experience in Cataract Canyon. His love and dedication were evident in the way he would travel all winter long to visit Bobbie in Leamington, Utah—even when his truck had no brakes. Sudz never missed a turkey shoot, not even during the pandemic—he still went “just in case.” Sudz and Bobbie rescued each other, and over the years, they continued to do so again and again, building a life rooted in love, grit, and companionship.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to his brother Bill (“the original Sudz”), who was there every day to share laughs, give each other a hard time, and reminisce. Special thanks to Rob and Lisa Vandergrift for going above and beyond in every possible way; to Paul and Lisa Meyers, who shared in the Cataract Canyon experience; to Derick Davis, his best bro; and to Kathryn for her exceptional kindness and loving friendship. The family is also deeply grateful for the outpouring of love and support from their ward.
A sincere thank you to Hospice and to the compassionate nurses and aides who cared for Sudz, especially Alisha, Staci, and Lisa, for their kindness and presence during this time. Finally, we thank the many treasured friends and family members who were loved by Sudz—there are truly too many to mention, but each held a special place in his heart.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 13, 2026. A viewing will take place from 10:00 to 10:40 a.m. at Russon Mortuary, followed by a graveside service at 11:00 a.m. at Bountiful Cemetery, 2224 South 200 West, Bountiful, Utah.
Sudz will be remembered for his toughness, his positive attitude, his stories, his humor, and, most of all, his deep love for the people in his life.
