Our loved one, Terry Jamison, finally “stopped procrastinating” and passed away June 29, 2025, at age 91. His favorite joke was “I’m still procrastinating” (about dying) when asked by friends and family about his health.
Terry was ready for his next adventure, but he leaves a sad group of us behind:
Paddi – wife of 72+ years
Terri Lyn & Jeff (deceased) – daughter & son-in-law
Cliff – grandson
Jami – granddaughter
Stephen & Teresa – son & daughter-in-law
Joshua – grandson (deceased)
Shawn & Heather – son & daughter-in-law
Katelyn – granddaughter
Emelie – granddaughter
Braydon – grandson
Many nieces, nephews & cousins of all degrees
Terry was the last of his generation of northern Cache Valley Jamisons.
Terry had a long, successful career at Utah Power & Light Co., & an even longer & eventful retirement. He was a life-long learner who never lost interest in nature (especially birding & gardening), history (especially western US) and travel. But what all of us will remember vividly is Terry’s sense of humor. Dad didn’t just tell jokes (though he had plenty), he said funny things in all kinds of situations and would leave people laughing wherever he went, right up until the end.
We will all miss Terry terribly, but count ourselves blessed for having him in our lives for so long.
In lieu of flowers, tell your loved ones about Terry’s kindness & humor and then hug them tightly. Let Terry’s legacy be the laughter & love he spread throughout his long life.
Graveside services take place at noon on Monday, July 7, 2025, at the Preston City Cemetery in Idaho. A celebration of life will be held in Bountiful, Utah, sometime this fall.
