Born on November 4, 1965 passed away on January 17, 2021 due to Covid-19. Terry was born to David Harold and Jean Marie Tibbitts Matthews. His youth was spent in Bountiful and West Point, Utah. He learned at a very young age to love cars, motorcycles, trains, planes, boats and guns. His passion for working on cars became a profession as he worked on F-16 fighter jets and then became a missile technician for Hill Air Force Base. He graduated from Clearfield High School and cherished lifelong friendships. Terry served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Catania, Italy. He loved everything Italian. Terry had a kind heart and always tried to help those in need. He became a volunteer firefighter and EMT for Sunset City. Terry met and married Jenny Lou in California, and they have one daughter, Isabella, who is his greatest joy. Terry is survived by his wife Jenny and daughter Isabella, West Point, Utah; Father, Dave Matthews; siblings Todd (Cindy) Matthews, Tina (Eric) Forsgren, Tami Matthews, Travis Matthews, Trisha (Josh) Sims. Preceded in death by his younger brother Troy Boy and mother Jean, whom he loved deeply.
Viewing and funeral will be Saturday, January 23, 2021 at the Russon Mortuary & Crematory, 1585 West 300 South, Syracuse, Utah 84075
Viewing 10:30–11:30am with funeral starting at 12 noon. Internment at the West Point City Cemetery. Please social distance and wear masks throughout all services.
