Steven B. Parker

August 15, 1961 — July 18, 2023

Farmington

Steve B. Parker passed away holding his sweetheart’s hand on July 18, 2023.

Steve was born to Steven and Patsy (Petersen) Parker on August 15, 1961, in Provo, Utah. One of four boys, Steve spent his youth moving across the West, from Clearfield, Utah to North Dakota. He graduated from Clearfield High School and had several small jobs before starting work at Larsen Beverage, later changed to Admiral Beverage, working his way up to Key Account Manager. He was known for his positive attitude and great work ethic, serving the company well for 37 years until he retired in 2020. He loved Mountain Dew and was loyal to the company and product to the end. He would never let a Coke even be in the fridge (he probably would not be happy that word was even used here).

Outside of work, Steve had a tremendous love for sports, especially softball, playing in many leagues in his younger years. Many nights a week were spent playing some game, always wanting Sherry to be sitting in the stands watching. He developed a tremendous love of golf and he was good at it. He never got angry at his game, rather, he always remained determined to improve himself. Many fond memories were made as he played with friends or tried to teach his sweetheart how to play.

Steve married Sherry Ann Brough on August 12, 2009. They were later sealed in the Bountiful Temple on January 7, 2017. Together they share 6 sons, 1 daughter, and 18 wonderful grandchildren.

Steve is proceeded in death by his parents Steven and Patsy Parker and brothers, James and Michael Parker. He is survived by his sweetheart, Sherry, his sons Jefre (Jamie) Parker, A.J. (Paije) Parker, Brayde (Nicole) Parker, Wesley (ValaRee) Shields, Chase (Lauren) Shields, Corbin Woods; his daughter Ashlie Parker, and his brother Lance Parker.

Although Steve passed way too soon, the family is grateful for the overwhelming love and support that has been given during this difficult time. We extend heartfelt gratitude to his nurse, RN Robin Clemens, and her staff from Cascade Springs Hospice for all the sweet care and countless hours helping Steve. He always referred to her as “our Robin”. In addition, thank you to all the neighbors who removed snow, mowed lawns, and just came to see if he or Sherry needed anything.

Most importantly, Steve not only knew the love of good family and friends but knew the love of Christ. Steve was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He faithfully served in many callings over the years, to include Scouting, Young Men’s Executive Secretary, and Ward Clerk. Steve will be remembered for his humility, selflessness, contagious laugh, and genuine goodness towards others.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 25th at 11:00 am in the Farmington Pointe Ward building, 905 Foxhunter Drive, Farmington, Utah. No public viewing to be held, only immediate family before services. Steve will be laid to rest in the Farmington City Cemetery.
