Stephen Allen Shupe

August 23, 1953 — September 29, 2021

Stephen (Steve) Allen Shupe, 68, resident of Clearfield, UT, passed away September 29th 2021 in Layton, UT from complications resulting from covid 19. Steve was Born August 23, 1953 in Kingsport, TN to Charles Morgan Shupe Jr. and Anna Lee (Ramey) Shupe.

Steve grew up in Kingsport, TN and had many relatives in southwest Virginia. Steve and his three brothers grew up depending on each other. All four brothers joined the military. They were very proud of each other, loved each other very much and deeply enjoyed the time they could spend together.

Steve joined the Airforce in 1971 where he served as a Jet engine technician then a Jet engine Mechanic and Retired as a Tech Sergeant. After pursuing further education at Weber State University, he continued government employment with the VA. Completing a total of 28 years in government service.

Steve loved his family and his country and was well known for his care and concern for others before himself. He enjoyed fixing, building and tinkering with things. Though he did not dance himself he also enjoyed attending and helping at the local square dance clubs with his wife Annette and in recent years served on the boards of the Associated Square Dance Clubs of Utah and the Northern Utah Square Dance Association.

Steve is survived by his wife Annette Lee, stepson Daniel (Carrie)Fischer, stepdaughter Dionna (Ben) Black, grandchildren Kenneth, Jeffrey and Marian, Brothers Jim (Becky) Shupe, Chris Hunter, sister-in-law Lela Shupe and cousin Donna Peaks.

Steve was Preceded in death by his father Charles Morgan Shupe Jr., mother Anna Lee (Ramey) Shupe, brother Ronald Shupe and nephew Patrick Shupe.
