Sidney Warren Simmonds

Our dear brother, Sidney Warren Simmonds, died May 9, 2023, in Bountiful, Utah at age 84 from causes due to Alzheimer’s disease.

He was surrounded with love and tender care near his family and the mountains he loved.

Sid was born September 9, 1938, in Logan, Utah.  He was the first child of Chester Lorenzo Simmonds and Thelma Petersen Simmonds.

Sid graduated from Olympus High School and, later, Utah State University in Logan, Utah where he was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity.  He went to the University of Washington, graduating in dentistry.  He set up his dental practice in San Diego, California.  Later, he attended Tufts University in Boston, Massachusetts, specializing in endodontics.  He then returned to his practice in San Diego until retirement.

Sid is survived by a loving family including a daughter whom he adored, Abbey Bernardi and three granddaughters, Bayley, Lyla, and Olivia of California.

We miss Sid and the love and appreciation he showed to all.  We’re grateful to have had him with us where he knew he was safe, loved and finally home.
