Shirley Armina Baird

Our beautiful, loving mother and grandmother, Shirley Armina Baird, peacefully left her earthly home and returned to Heaven and the open arms of many of her loved ones on Thursday, August 3, 2023.

Shirley, the daughter of Laron A. Bright and Armina Skidmore Bright was born in Linrose, Idaho on June 4, 1935; she was the youngest of five children, being adored, spoiled, and having brought the utmost joy to her family.

She happily married her loving and eternal companion, R. LaMar Baird in the Logan Temple on November 2, 1956, and to this union were born two sons and four daughters.

As a devoted wife, mother, and devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Shirley was the one constant in the lives of many as she balanced managing a business alongside her husband, teaching, loving, protecting, and caring for six children, working a full-time job, and serving in various church callings, including the Bountiful, Utah Temple.

Shirley is survived by her eldest son, Randy (Sheila) Baird, Magna; daughters, Cindy Hardison, Fruit Heights, Laurette (Matt) Judd, Bountiful, TeRia (Steve) Campbell, Eagle Mountain, and Valerie Baird, Crescent City, CA, in addition to twenty-eight grandchildren and forty-eight great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, four siblings, husband, R. LaMar Baird, youngest son, Terence L. Baird, and son-in-law, Phil Hardison.

Upon her death, Shirley was residing at Creekside Assisted Living in Bountiful. An immense amount of gratitude is dedicated to the Creekside Memory Care staff in addition to the physician and nurses of A-1 Hospice Care.

A viewing will be held at Russon Mortuary; 1941 North Main Street, Farmington, Utah on Tuesday, August 8, 2023, from 6:00-8:00 p.m.

Funeral services will be held at Russon Mortuary, 1941 North Main Street, Farmington, Utah on Wednesday, August 9, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. with a viewing from 9:45-10:45 a.m.

Interment will be held at the Kaysville City Cemetery; 500 East, Crestwood Road, Kaysville Utah.

Funeral services will be streamed live on the Russon Mortuary & Crematory Facebook page and on this obituary page. The live stream will begin 10-15 minutes before the services and will be posted below.
