Sheri Louise Knight Morzinski

November 10, 1947 — December 25, 2021

Born in Provo, UT to Myron Lavell Knight and Claire Swenson, Sheri died peacefully early Christmas morning at “Country Home” Assisted Living in Bountiful, where she was lovingly cared for her last 2 weeks.

Sheri’s siblings include Steve Knight (Sherrie), Janice Knight, Connie Knight Diamond (Steve), and James Knight—deceased.

Sheri’s children are Lari Damjanovich Evancich (Tim) and David Damjanovich.

Grandkids include Raquel and Connor Evancich, Sidney Rodriguez, Trystan Damjanovich, and Brayden Gonzalez. She was also blessed with 2 great-grandkids.

Sheri was later married to Joseph A. Morzinski on March 1, 1984 and sealed that year for time and all eternity in the Logan, Utah temple. Nearly 38 wonderful, hardworking, and adventurous years passed by too quickly. When time permitted, traveling was a joy for her, including many trips to Wisconsin with Joe, for her husband’s family, and to Montana, to Idaho, to Nevada, to Colorado, to California, and to Washington. Favorite Utah trips included many driving trips with her husband to St. George for his marathons, and the slow, relaxing trip back home to Bountiful. Trips with her mom to China, and her daughter, mom, and sister to San Francisco, and Jackson Hole.

She loved spending time with the kids and grandkids, especially the easter basket hunts and Christmas Eve parties, where bingo was a big hit, and her quilts and peaches were always the #1 prize. She was very talented as a professional hairdresser in Salt Lake, and finally her own shop in Bountiful. She helped design interiors for many older homes on the Avenues in Salt Lake City. She was amazing at sewing, knitting, and making beautiful quilts.

She had many favorite pets, including her cats Savannah, Meko, Sammy, and dogs Stasch and Maxie. Besides her many creative talents, Sheri loved reading, and to dance, having met “her Joseph” at an LDS Young Singles dance in early 1983. She taught Young Women’s and many homemaking classes at the Bountiful 2nd Ward, where so many friends were made over the past 38 years.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 30th at 10 a.m. at Russon Mortuary, 295 North Main Street, Bountiful, Utah. A viewing will be held from 9-9:45 a.m. prior to services.
