Shauna Carlson Baldonado

Shauna Carlson Baldonado passed away peacefully surrounded by her family following complications from surgery on January 29,2026.

Born February 23, 1949, the only daughter of M. Maurene Jones and Glen Aurthur Carlson, she grew up in Bountiful with her three brothers. On May 27, 1989, Shauna married the love of her life Robert Baldonado.

Shauna learned to sew, bake, and cook by her mother’s side who she would tell anyone was her best friend. Shauna’s carrot cake and fried wontons were family favorites at every gathering. She also loved to make knit scarves and hats for her family, friends and to donate to various charities. Shauna loved sunflowers, collecting anything and everything with sunflowers. She also loved collecting Winnie the Pooh bears for her grandsons to play with.

After graduating from Bountiful High School Shauna went to work at Si Rancho Hotel cleaning rooms. Later, she worked for Sperry Univac and Salt Lake Cable before going to work for L3 Communications where she was a lead in the cable assembly department.

Shauna is survived by her husband Robert Baldonado. Sons: David (Lori) Duke, and Philip (Lan Jy) Duke. Grandsons: Shatan Duke and Zackary Duke. Brothers: Ron (Wanda) Carlson and Brent Calson. Sisters-in-Law: Martha (Tom) Archuleta, and Theresa (Juan) Mendosa. Brothers-in Law: Larry (Gloria) Baldonado, Wilfred Baldonado, Tom Baldonado, Raymond Baldonado, Randy Baldonado and Evan Baldonado. Nieces and Nephews.

Preceded in death by both of her parents, Brother Brad Carlson and Sister-in-Law Janis Carlson.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday May 9, 2026, at 2:00 p.m., at Memorial Lake View Cemetery, 1640 E Lakeview Drive, Bountiful Utah.
