Sharon Pauline Young passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family, June 21, 2026 at the age of 78.

Sharon was born on July 12, 1947 in Peru Indiana to Woodrow and Lola Patton. She married the love of her life, Paul Lee Young on November 6, 1964. Together they shared 61 wonderful years of marriage, making their home in Layton, Utah where they raised their three children and built a lifetime of cherished memories.

Sharon found time to be with those she loved. She especially enjoyed camping and fishing with family and friends, creating lasting memories outdoors. She also loved trying her luck at the slot machines whenever she had the chance. A talented quilter, wonderful cook and gifted hairstylist. Sharon happily shared her talents with family and friends throughout her life.

Above all else, Sharon's pride and joy was her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and a friend whose kindness, generosity and love will always be remembered. She loved everyone dearly.

Sharon is survived by her devoted husband Paul Lee Young; her children, Whitney (Patti) Young, Bridget (Jimmy) Nabor and Kristine (Kevin) Cunningham.

9 grandchildren, Trevor (Hannah), Brandon, Cody (Mckenzie), Kaycee (Paetyne), Kassie, Casey, Amber (Tom), Haley (Noel) and Chase and 9 great-grandchildren.

Four sibling's, Bill, Ronnie, Ruthie of Indiana and Sue (Mike) of Utah.

She was preceded in death by her parent's Woodrow and Lola Patton and 7 siblings’.

Sharon's love, strength and the memories she created with those around her will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Celebration of life for Sharon will be Thursday July 30, 2026, 6 to 8 P.M. at Russon Mortuary, 1585 W 300 S Syracuse, Utah.
