Sharon Kay Pearce, our beloved mother, grandmother and friend, was born on December 2, 1942. Sharon was born in Salt Lake City, Utah to Thomas James Hadley Jr. (Jim) and Julia Foss Hadley. She had two older brothers: Dick and Bob (both deceased). As an only girl and the youngest child, she was extremely loved and spoiled rotten.
Sharon was preceded in death by her soulmate and eternal companion, Doug. The two were inseparable in life and are now inseparable once again for all eternity. I am sure it was a joyous reunion.
Sharon spent her last week surrounded by so many friends and family, who let her know how much she was loved and how important she was in their lives.
Mom loved people and they were drawn to her. Give her two minutes with somebody and they would tell her their life story. She really cared, and they could sense that. She always felt that she wanted them to feel the Savior’s love through her.
Sharon was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She held many callings in the Relief Society. Her favorite calling was always Compassionate Service. She loved serving others.
Sharon was preceded in death by her husband, Doug and grandson Tyson Douglas Pearce.
She is survived by her five sons: Dave (Michelle), Shaun (Valarie), Chris, Jon (Julie), Kevin (Erika), 19 grandkids and 14 great grandchildren.
She was greatly loved and will be dearly missed.
Mom loved donating socks to the homeless shelters. That brought her a lot of joy. We would love it as a family if, in lieu of flowers, you would consider donating something to a local homeless shelter, in memory of Mom.
