Savannah Lee Johnson

July 25, 2019 — December 21, 2022

Clinton

Savannah Lee Johnson returned home to her Heavenly Father on December 21, 2022, after a courageous and valiant fight against ETMR, a rare and aggressive form of pediatric brain cancer. She was surrounded by so much love and support from her family who span far beyond her siblings and parents. Savannah spent 1 year, 11 months, and 11 days battling every day with a smile, laughter, and her sparkly eyes. Savannah shared sunshine, joy, and giggles to anyone who crossed her path. Savannah's magic is undeniable.

Savannah was born to Matthew and Lacy Johnson on July 25th, 2019. She was the perfect caboose. Savannah spent her life on earth showing love, empathy, compassion, and fun to everyone she met. She was so positive and she shared her brilliant sense of humor with anyone who came her way. She loved her mom and dad SO much. Her siblings Mason and Caroline were a huge support to her, and no circumstance ever slowed down their fun or their love for spending time with each other. Savannah adored nail painting sessions with mom and always picked bright pink so she could show them off to her doting fans. She loved chocolate milk, pancakes with syrup, princesses, unicorns, her turquoise blanket, and dance parties with dad. She could spot Diet Coke in a Swig or Fiiz cup from a mile away.

Savannah was patient. She was a true warrior aware of her task at hand. She greeted her treatments with grit and determination while helping nurses and doctors perform her necessary daily procedures. Savannah would hold needed supplies until just the right time. She had a higher understanding of her situation than we’ll ever know. Savannah spread her happiness to so many across the world. She’ll be remembered for smiling ear to ear while pointing and saying, “I love YOU!” Savannah gave the world's best smooches and squeezes while somehow intuitively knowing just when you needed one. Her smiles were contagious and her belly laugh was infectious. She has left us all better people for knowing her. Her magic will always stay with us, and her legacy will live on far beyond her short time here on earth. Savannah was an absolute triumph and a true angel among us.

We’d be remiss to not mention Savannah’s amazing caretakers at the “hosible”, her home health nurses, the many cheerleaders she’s found through social media, the community who has rallied around her, and so many other friends and family members who have lovingly ushered us through this journey. We are so grateful for the staff at Primary Children's Hospital, Huntsman Cancer Institute, and Seattle Children's Hospital. Thank you for your tireless support, your care, your love, and your prayers. We could not have weathered this journey without you.

Savannah is preceded in death by her twin brothers Jacob and Andrew Johnson. She is survived by her siblings Mason and Caroline and her parents Matthew and Lacy Johnson. Viewings will be held Friday, January 6th, 2023, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and Saturday, January 7th, 2023, from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Her services will be held at 11:00 a.m. at Russon Mortuary in Syracuse, Utah. An update will be sent out on @SavannahBeStrong about a live stream on Facebook for the Saturday morning service.
