Roy Bernard Gallivan

Roy Bernard Gallivan (83) of Bountiful, Utah, passed away peacefully in his sleep on June 10, 2025. Born June 13, 1941, in Traverse City, Michigan, to Alec and Rose Gallivan, Roy married the love of his life Mattie Newsome on June 22, 1962.

Roy was a dedicated employee to Kmart for 52 years. He loved to cook and was a prime-rib connoisseur. Roy and Mattie loved to travel and hit the casinos. They regularly did their Nevada-Idaho loop.

Roy is survived by his 3 children Alex (DeVonya), Matellena (John), and Elizabeth (Ronald); his grandchildren Nicole, Kaila, Rachel, and Chloe; great-grandchildren Sean and Maggie; and great-great-grandchild Averie. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Mattie, parents Alec and Rose, siblings Phillip (Kathleen), Theresa (Gene), and Loren (June), and grandson James.

Services will be held from 6:00—8:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at Russon Mortuary, 295 North Main Street in Bountiful, Utah 84010.
