Ronald Wayne Julian

August 4, 1944 — April 2, 2026

Bountiful, UT

Ronald Wayne Julian, age 81, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away April 2, 2026, peacefully surrounded by his family after a sudden illness. Leaving behind a legacy of faith, hard work, humor, and deep devotion to family.

Ron was born on August 4, 1944, in Jacksonville, Florida, to Stanley and Dorris Julian. In his earliest months, he lived in Florida until his father returned home from World War

II. Soon after, the family moved to Gilbert, Arizona, he lived between Arizona and Florida during his youth.

As the oldest of eight children, he took on leadership early, helping care for his siblings and supporting his family in meaningful ways. He carried that sense of duty throughout his life. Ron attended school in Mesa, Arizona, and went on to attend Brigham Young University. Ron served an LDS mission in Mexico, an experience that deepened his faith and ignited his passion for traveling. This passion resulted in countless trips to Mexico and Florida with his kids and grandkids - his swan song trip was to Mexico to celebrate his 80th birthday with his five children, their spouses and ALL 17 grandchildren.

In 1968, Ron met Cheryl Diane Doxey at the BYU bookstore. Their month-long courtship was a whirlwind. They were married on September 13, 1968, in the Salt Lake Temple. Their marriage was one of partnership, laughter, and enduring commitment.

Together, Ron and Cheryl built a life centered on family. They were blessed with five children and created a home filled with love, learning, and strong values. Ron was drafted into the US military in 1970 and served in the army as a police officer. Ron was a devoted father and CPA who worked tirelessly to provide for his family while also making time for adventures, RV road trips across the country, and beach experiences. He always tried to have a trip on the horizon to look forward to. He had a gift for storytelling and a sense of humor that brought joy to those around him.

Ron had a deep love for the WARM outdoors and adventure. He loved escaping the day-to-day work life by going on a long road trip with his family- especially if the destination was a great snorkel location, with good tacos (without cilantro, of course). He and Cheryl made multiple trips to Mexico and across the United States, creating lasting memories with their children. Whether driving across the Sierra Madre or visiting church history sites, Ron found joy in exploration and togetherness.

After the sudden passing of Cheryl in 1995, Ron experienced a huge void in his life until he was blessed with finding his Southern Belle, Judi Paul. Together, she helped him rediscover all his beautiful and meaningful passions. They gardened. They traveled.  They hosted “cousin camps” for their grandchildren. Judi helped bring Ron back to life after heartbreak.

Above all, Ron was a man of faith. He had a strong testimony of Jesus Christ, the prophet Joseph Smith and a sincere belief in the power of prayer. He was known for his ability to believe in others and uplift those around him. His quiet compassion, empathy, and steady presence made a lasting impact on countless lives. In honor of Ron, please give to someone in need.

Ron leaves behind his beloved wife Judi, his children: Chris (Jennifer) Julian, Bethany (Justin) Bleazard, Melanie (Bryan) Evans, Michael Julian, Nate (Aliska) Julian, and 17 adored grandchildren. Judi’s children and grandchildren and Ron’s siblings, Julie Thompson, Mignon Smith, Kim Julian, and Tad Julian.
