Ronald Foulger Fuller was born in Ogden, UT on September 1, 1937 to Arthur Leonidas Fuller and Thelma Foulger Fuller. The beloved brother to three older brothers, one older sister, and one younger sister, Ron spent his childhood in Eden, UT. At the age of 9, the family moved to a dairy farm in Eagle, ID. He loved basketball and played all three years of high school. He also loved to tell jokes and do funny impersonations. Mutual friends introduced him to his future wife, Letha LaRee Ashcraft. They fell in love and were sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple on February 18, 1959. They worked well together, laughed a lot, and built a home of peace and refuge for their family.
When Arthur couldn't run the dairy farm anymore, Ron and Letha bought it and moved into the little farmhouse. Ron loved being a farmer-growing hay for his cows and caring for them was very fulfilling to him. He wasn't afraid of hard work and taught his children to work hard, too. His four oldest girls and oldest son have fond memories of working and playing on the farm with their dad.In 1979, it was time for a new adventure, so Ron and Letha moved their family to Bountiful, UT. Ron got a job at his brother's company-Charlie Fuller's TV and Appliance-as an appliance technician. He worked there until he retired. Anytime his grandkids saw a Charlie Fuller's van driving around the streets of Davis County, they excitedly asked, "Is that Grandpa?" Ron's favorite job in retirement was mowing park lawns for Centerville City Parks and Rec. The riding lawn mower made him feel like he was on a tractor again.
Ron was a life-long member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He loved the Lord and had a deep testimony of the Savior. He enjoyed studying gospel books and scripture. He served faithfully in many church callings, but his favorite was ward missionary. Working with other missionaries to serve others and teach them about the Savior brought him a lot of joy. From August 2008 to August 2010, he and Letha served as full time missionaries in the Missouri Independence Mission. They served in the Visitor's Center in Independence and in the Liberty Jail Visitor's Center. Ron loved every minute. His kids and grandkids knew how much he loved the restored gospel and Jesus Christ, because he often testified of it to them with tears in his eyes. He also got teary-eyed when he spoke of his love for his family. Each member of the family was special and important to Grandpa, and they knew it.
Ron passed away in the early hours of December 21, 2025 on the winter solstice-the darkest day of the year. It was indeed a dark day for our family, but we have hope through the light of the Savior, Jesus Christ, who Ron loved.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Letha, his sister, Janice, and his seven children: Charlene (Craig), Zinda (Rob), Rise' (Lyndon), Teresa (Rob), Doran (Billie), LaRee (Jacob), and Lee (Emily). He also leaves behind 28 grandchildren, who (along with their spouses and 27 great-grandchildren) will miss Grandpa dearly.
We know it's time for you to get on home and milk those cows, Grandpa. All our love until we meet again.
