Ronald Oscar DeJuncker, 76, passed away peacefully in his sleep on April 6, 2026, in Layton, Utah, after living with Alzheimer’s.

Ron was born on December 21, 1949, in Salt Lake City, Utah. He lived a life centered on family, faith, work, and the many relationships he built over the years.

Ron is reunited with his wife of more than 52 years, Debra “Debbie” (Brown) DeJuncker, his high school sweetheart. They met at Rancho High School in Las Vegas, Nevada, where they began dating and graduated in 1968. They were married on September 3, 1971, in the St. George Utah Temple.

He is survived by his sons, R. Jayson DeJuncker, Devin Scott DeJuncker, Jeffrey Curtis DeJuncker (Janica), and Jordan Reed DeJuncker; his grandchildren, Izaya, Daniel, Peyton, Jannalynn, Jack, Luke, and Kaidan; and his sister, Velma Johansen.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Debbie, and his sisters, Thea Cheney and Yvonne Ochoa.

Ron served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Holland and graduated from Brigham Young University in 1974.

After college, Ron worked for Safeway and Farmer Jack as a general manager until 1988. He then joined Flying J Inc., where he was quickly promoted to district manager for the Pacific Northwest and later became vice president of Flying J’s restaurant division. He retired in 2008.

Ron enjoyed mentoring others and helping people grow in their work. Much of his career was spent traveling to support managers and employees in the field. Over the years, he flew more than 2.4 million miles with Delta alone.

He loved travel, especially to tropical destinations. He was also a Harley-Davidson enthusiast who enjoyed the open road and riding throughout the Pacific Northwest and across southern Utah, Arizona, Nevada, and California.

Ron valued friendship, family, and his faith. He had a goofy sense of humor and often used it to lighten the mood and put people at ease.

He will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend who worked hard, cared deeply about people, and stayed closely connected to family and friends throughout his life.

Service details will be announced by the family.
