Robert William Anderson, lovingly known as Bob, passed away on April 10, 2026, at the age of 84. He was born on August 16, 1941, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Robert and Helen Anderson, the oldest of five children.

Bob graduated from Olympus High School in 1959. Shortly after, he married the love of his life, Linda Clark Anderson, on April 8, 1960. Together they built a life centered around family and raised three sons: Dave, Dan, and Steve.

A dedicated and hardworking provider, Bob spent many years working at Eimco Mining & Machinery and often worked two jobs to support his family. Despite his busy schedule, he always made time for what mattered most, his family. He was a proud baseball coach to his boys and cherished time spent hunting, fishing, boating, and water skiing together.

Bob had a deep love for sports and was an avid golfer and loyal fan of the Utah Utes and Utah Jazz. He loved collecting golf balls and took great joy in the game. He had a gift for making people laugh and was rarely seen without a video recorder in hand, capturing the special moments of his children and grandchildren.

After the passing of his wife Linda in 2014, Bob was fortunate to find love and companionship again. He married Anita King Anderson on March 21, 2015, and they shared many meaningful and happy years together. Their time was filled with companionship, care, and support, bringing comfort and joy to his later years. Bob loved staying active and could often be found walking three miles nearly every day. Even as he faced the challenges of Parkinson’s disease, he met them with strength and determination, never letting it take his spirit. In his later years, he found simple joys in life, especially donuts, ice cream, and chocolate chip cookies.

Bob is survived by his wife Anita King Anderson; his sons Dave, Dan (Mary), and Steve; stepchildren Carol, Jeanette (Tim), and Scott (Deona); siblings Sue (Richard), Gary (Vickie), and Margie; sister-in-law Judy; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Helen; his first wife, Linda; daughter-in-law Margaret; his brother Kent; and step-grandson Kolby.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Tammy and Jackie of Quality Hospice, as well as Scott and Deona, for their compassionate care and support.

The family will be honoring Bob’s life with a small, intimate celebration on April 25, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the Center Ward in Syracuse (2228 South 1660 West, Syracuse, Utah 84075), surrounded by close family and loved ones.

Bob will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, his sense of humor, and the countless memories he captured and created. His legacy lives on in all who knew and loved him.
