Robert Collin Wood

Robert Collin Wood, age 69, passed away on April 22, 2026. He was born on February 8, 1957, in Sanford, Florida, to Robert and Marva Wood. He was the third of four children, with siblings Deon (Grimes), Collin, and Scott. Growing up in a military family, Robert moved frequently before eventually settling in Sandy, Utah, where he attended Brighton High School.

Robert married Linda Miller in 1975, and together they had three children: Ariel, Nicholas, and DeNae. They later divorced. In 1980, he married Rana Langevin, and they had six children: Meagan, Andrea, Cassandra, Eric, Elise, and Jared. They made their home in West Bountiful for many years.

Robert was a hardworking man who built and ran his own carpet business. His work took him to many places around the world, including opportunities to install carpet in temples, something he took pride in.

He found joy in simple, meaningful things—working in his yard and garden, boating, reading, listening to music, and collecting books and CDs. Most of all, he loved being with his family.

Robert’s life was complex, as all lives are. While there were challenges and moments that were not always easy, those who knew him also knew his deep kindness, his generosity, and the size of his heart. Beneath everything, he was a man who loved deeply.

He is survived by his three siblings, nine children, and twenty grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Linda.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 29th, 2026 at the Centerville North Stake Center, 270 N 300 E, Centerville, UT with a viewing prior beginning at 10:30 a.m. He will be laid to rest at Bountiful City Cemetery next to his parents.
