Robert C. Brimhall

Robert C. Brimhall, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 31, 2025, after a brief struggle with cancer and then a sudden heart attack. He was surrounded by many of his close family members and dear friends during his last hours.

Rob was born on March 27, 1960, to Clark W. and Martel E. Brimhall. He grew up in the Sugarhouse area of Salt Lake City, Utah, where he attended Highland High School. After graduating, he went on to earn his Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Utah State University.

As a young man, Rob served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Sacramento, California Mission, where he formed many lasting friendships.

Rob met the love of his life, Wendy Bradley, on a blind date through his mission friends, and they were sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple in 1989. Together, they built a home filled with love, laughter, and enduring values.

While attending school, he began honing his skills in the construction industry, most of which he learned from years of helping his father Clark to build homes on their summer breaks from school. He developed a talent for craftsmanship that became a lifelong passion. He owned and managed several businesses related to home building, concrete work, deck building, handy-man work, lawn-care and landscaping. He formed his last business with his nephew Jared whom he loved and respected greatly. He mentored a lot of “kids” that were on his lawn mowing crews and taught them valuable life skills. He also became life-long friends with the people he worked for and would spend more time talking than working most days.

Rob had a special personality that touched many lives through his service, kindness, and unwavering dedication to others. He was heavily involved in many church callings, especially in the Scouting program, where he became affectionately known as the "Pinewood Derby Expert." He opened his shop to kids in the neighborhood, helping them build and fine-tune their derby cars with patience and enthusiasm.

His love for the outdoors shone through in the many Dutch oven meals he prepared, showcasing his expertise and creating memorable experiences for all involved. He would certainly teach you the best way to care for the ovens (and the only way to fold a tarp). He cooked for multiple youth camps, scouting events and many family camp-outs. Rob found great joy in creating opportunities for learning, growth, and connection—both for his family and the youth he served.

He was a man of many talents and interests—always quick with a helping hand, a listening ear, and many stories to tell. Whether working on home projects, mentoring youth, or simply spending time with loved ones, Rob’s generous spirit was felt by all who knew him. He was the one that noticed you and made sure you knew you were loved.

Rob was preceded in death by his parents, Clark and Martel Brimhall. He is survived by his four children: Andrea, Joshua (Rhiannon), Jacob, and Madison; his grandson, William; his brothers: Brad (Karen), Greg (Nancy), and Eric (Tawnya) and many nieces and nephews whom he loved.

Rob’s presence will be deeply missed, but his legacy of love, service, quiet strength and the stories he loved to tell will live on in the hearts and lives he touched.

Funeral services will take place at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 7, 2025, at the Bountiful Stake Center, 1250 South Main Street, Bountiful, Utah. An evening viewing will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, June 6, 2025, at Russon Mortuary, 295 N. Main Street in Bountiful. A morning viewing will take place from 9:45-10:45 a.m. Saturday at the church prior to services.
