Rita Marie Conley Ramos, age 65, passed away on September 6, 2026, in Farmington, Utah. She was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, to parents Thomas Conley and Tomiko Ebihara.
After finishing school, Rita joined the U.S. Army, spending time in Germany as a drill sergeant. After an honorable discharge, Rita channeled her technical talents into a successful career with the federal government. She ultimately rose to the rank of state webmaster. While there, she met the love of her life, Fred Ramos. They shared many years together happily married, living in Oregon and Colorado.
In retirement, Rita's tireless drive to serve others found a home at the Department of Corrections, where she volunteered with young people. Her nonjudgmental warmth and ability to make others laugh earned her the deep affection of staff and youth alike, several of whom called her simply "Mom".
Rita's greatest joys in life were her family, her two labradoodles (Sally and Zoey), a passion for photography, her Japanese heritage, and taking long road trips to see friends.
Rita is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Fred Ramos. She is survived by her son and family in Utah.
An intimate service recently took place at Bountiful Cemetery, where she will rest next to Fred forever.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Rita's memory to animal shelters and programs for at-risk youth, two causes dear to her heart.
