Reed Joel Christensen

Our loving brother, uncle and friend, Reed Joel Christensen, 75, of Bountiful, Utah passed away June 25, 2026. Reed was born on January 1, 1951 in Payson, Utah to Isabel Louise Mickelson Christensen and Andrew Ivan Christensen. He was the second youngest of seven siblings. When Reed was five, the family moved from Eureka to Bountiful.

Reed graduated from Viewmont High School. After high school, Reed worked for Highland Dairy/Cream O’Weber for his entire career.

Reed enjoyed hunting, bowling snowmobiling, camping, and sporting clays. He was a member of the North Point Duck Club and loved spending time there with his family and friends.

Reed was very close with his siblings. Every August, all of the siblings and their families would come together from several different states for the Christensen family campout. Everyone loved campouts with Uncle Reed where he shared his love of country music, his quiet teasing, and his sense of humor.

He was very supportive and loving towards Valois’ children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He attended hundreds of games and special events and is appreciated and loved by them all.

Reed is survived by his longtime companion of 53 years, Valois Henrie; sisters Elana (Jim) Sandoval and Karen Mildon; brother Blake (PJ) Christensen, sisters-in-law Janice and Vi Christensen, and many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Andrew and Kenneth Christensen, sister Cheryl Wood, brothers-in-law Mike Mildon and Sam Wood and sister-in-law Jeanette Christensen.

Reed was a man of integrity, kindness and honesty. Everyone loved him and will miss him deeply. 

Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, July 7, 2026 at the Bountiful City Cemetery, 2224 South 200 West, Bountiful, Utah. 

A viewing will be held from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at Russon Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful, Utah prior to the graveside service.
