1933 Paul 2023

Paul D. Taylor

April 25, 1933 — April 26, 2023

Centerville, UT

Paul returned to his heavenly father and love of his life on April 26, 2023 surrounded by family. He was born on April 25, 1933, in Orem, Utah to Elmer and Amy Taylor, and was a true adventurer from the beginning. He enlisted in the Navy at the age of 18 and served his country with honor for 4 years. While serving, Paul met his soulmate Noreen, who he swiftly married in the Manti temple and was sealed for time and eternity on December 8th 1955.

Paul and Noreen settled down in Bountiful where they raised two children, Alan and DeAnn. His life work was with computers, and he retired doing what he loved for the Church Office Building. He was a mountain man at heart and spent his days hunting, camping, and fishing. He was very active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had many callings, his greatest being a scout leader to many young men. He was honored with the Silver Beaver award for his dedicated service. Paul was an avid fly fisherman who loved to spend his summers in Yellowstone fishing rivers with Noreen reading books by his side. He loved to travel and went on many cruises, traveled to 41 North American LDS Temples, and his all-time favorite - traveling to Alaska.

Paul was a monumental man to his country, community, church, and most importantly, his family. He was lucky enough to spend 63 years married to his true soulmate Noreen, had children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren who adored him, and lifelong friends he treasured. He was an amazing man who touched the life of so many, and the world will be a little less bright without him in it. Paul leaves behind his daughter DeAnn (Tee); grandchildren, Lindsay (Dave), Paula (Ryan), Bryce (Misty), Ethan; and seven great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Noreen; son, Alan; parents Elmer and Amy; and siblings Dorothy, Kay, and LaNiel.
