A truly great man, Paul Leishman Archibald passed away suddenly and unexpectedly June 15, 2023 at the age of 64. Paul was born May 28, 1959 to Elmer Hendry Archibald and Anna Colleen Leishman in Logan, Utah.
Paul was raised in Wellsville, Utah where he enjoyed life on the farm with his three brothers Lynn, Dennis, Craig, and sister Marsha. It was on the farm where he learned to work hard and play harder. After graduating from Sky View High School he attended Utah State University. He was then called to serve in the San Diego California, Spanish speaking mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Upon returning from his mission he graduated Magna Cum Laude from Utah State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting, May 1983.
He married the love of his life, Stephanie Ann Parker, on December 17, 1982 in the Logan, Utah temple. They built a beautiful life together in Centerville, Utah where they raised three wonderful children, Natalie, Ryan and Kaitlin. Paul loved his children with his whole heart. He taught them the value of hard work and honesty through his example. He also taught them the greatest joy in life is family. He loved traveling and making memories with them.
Paul was President and CFO of Orbit Irrigation where he enjoyed working for 38 years. He worked tirelessly to build it into the successful brand and company it is today. He provided vital leadership in guiding the business through two sale processes, including playing a key role in it becoming part of the Gardena Division of Husqvarna Group. He had an incredibly strong work ethic and was known for his honesty and integrity. He was deeply respected and admired by his colleagues.
He enjoyed working with his hands in the yard and always had a project to do around the house. After working in the yard all day, you could find him with a cold glass of chocolate milk on the back porch enjoying the fruits of his labor.
Paul loved all sports, especially golf. One of the highlights of his life was playing The Old Course in St. Andrews, Scotland with Nick Faldo playing right behind him.
Paul was loved by many. He was quick to make a joke and had a contagious laugh. He will be remembered for his honesty, integrity, and his love for his family and church. The world is a better place because of Paul and he will be immeasurably missed.
Paul is survived by his wife Stephanie, his children Natalie (Brady), Ryan, and Kaitlin, two grandchildren Claire and Carson, three brothers Lynn (Jeanne) Dennis (Rosalie), and Craig (Amy).
