Patsy Good Baldwin

September 30, 1940 — October 22, 2025

On the morning of October 22nd, 2025, Patsy Good Baldwin, widow and mother of three, passed away at the age of 85 at Timpanogos Regional Hospital in Orem.

Patsy was born on September 30, 1940 in Thistle, Utah to Leroy Kirk Good and Beatrice Ireta Underwood. She was a proud younger sister to her only sibling, Rowane Good Marks. Thistle was the perfect environment to develop Patsy into a strong-willed, tough, and lovingly stubborn woman. After graduating from Spanish Fork High School, Patsy attended Brigham Young University, where she studied early childhood education. Following her graduation from BYU in 1963, she settled in Tooele, Utah and took a job at Harris Elementary School teaching the second and third grades. There, she met and married Bernett L. Baldwin. While in Tooele, they began their family, raising three children, Bradley, Matthew, and Tiffany. Patsy and Bernett later relocated to Bountiful, Utah in 1979. Patsy eventually returned to education, working as a substitute teacher in the Davis School District.

Patsy will always be remembered as a sweet, simple, selfless woman who always prioritized the needs of others above her own. She incessantly worried over her children and routine weather events. She had the innate instincts to detect even the slightest irregular noises in family vehicles. Patsy loved Diet Coke, everything Christma-trees, decorations, lights, music-Elvis Presley, Neil Diamond, and watching all the Olympic Games. She regularly welcomed her children home from school to the smell of freshly-baked chocolate chip cookies and was a champion chef of terrific weekly family Sunday meals. In life, her primary fears were snakes and weather.

Patsy was a proud Cougar Alumna who faithfully followed BYU football and basketball throughout her lifetime, despite her children's vocal opposition to this loyalty. She also enjoyed keeping the scorebook for South Davis Little League baseball games. Overall, Patsy will be remembered as a homebody who was perfectly content sitting in her recliner, keeping up with her favorite shows or completing Sudoku puzzles on her tablet. She passed time with hobbies such as cross-stiching, jigsaw puzzles, quilting, and Diamond Dotz. Perhaps Patsy's favorite pastime was watching General Hospital nearly every afternoon of her adult life. She had a secret crush on the character Bodie Donovan from the show Fire Country, and Donnie Wahlberg was a close second for her attention.

Patsy was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in numerous church capacities throughout her life, including primary teacher, primary president, expert genealogist, and church library specialist. She enjoyed watching and singing along to the Music & the Spoken Word broadcasts every Sunday morning.

Patsy was preceded in death by her parents, Leeroy Kirk Good and Beatrice Ireta Underwood, her sister, Rowane Good Marks (Earl). She is survived by her three children, Bradley B. Baldwin, Matthew R. Baldwin (Sheryl), and Tiffany Porter (Matt), as well as numerous cats, grandcats, and her stuffed grandson, Lion.

The children of Patsy would like to personally thank the kind healthcare professionals who assisted with her in-home care, as well as the staff at Timpanogos Regional Hospital.
