Trisha passed peacefully on May 8th surrounded by family, having experienced complications following a compound ankle fracture last year.
Trisha was born in Camberwell, London, England to Fred and Ada Forbes. She married Wayne Sward in 1979 in Bountiful, UT. Trisha was known throughout her life for her willingness to help others. For numerous years, she nursed and cared for her two adult sons, both of whom suffered from a rare terminal disease. She loved nature, particularly animals, she loved to travel to National Parks and observe the wildlife. She loved caring for pets, having numerous cats and dogs.
Trisha was active in the community, always willing to help neighbors and friends. She served as a Disaster Specialist in her church for several years, helping to purchase and deliver critical supplies to those in need, often anonymously. One of Trisha's favorite church callings was to be a teacher, especially in the disabled ward, where she would enjoy regaling the young students with stories about her time in England, including during World War II, in addition to her normal teachings.
Professionally she was a secretary, notably a legal secretary for a patent attorney, which she ended in order to care for her youngest son through his illness.
She will be greatly missed by her husband, Wayne, her two daughters, Karen and Sally, grandchildren Kevin (Amanda), Samantha, Stephanie, Tiffany (Sonny) and Daniel, and great-grandson Kieran. Preceded in death by her parents, brother David Forbes and sons, Kevin and Spencer Noble.
The family would like to thank her loving home care team for making her comfortable and help fill her days with laughter.Although she is sorely missed, her family rejoices in the fact that she now has her full strength and can enjoy all the many things that she loved once again.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday May 16th, 2026 at the Sunset Ward, 925 Deseret Dr. , Kaysville, Utah, where a viewing will be held from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to services. Interment - Bountiful City Cemetery.
