Ora Wride

November 13, 2006, Ora Jones Wride returned home to her Heavenly Father and her loving husband Barry, who preceded her in death on June 28, 2006. Ora was born in Lehi, Utah on September 23, 1914 to David and Sevilla Jane Jones. After graduating from Lehi High School, she moved to SLC to attend LDS Business College and worked as a secretary. During this time she was lucky enough to live in the Beehive House with other single young women. She met her future husband, Barry T. Wride through mutual friends and they married in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on February 2, 1943. Ora held many LDS Church callings including Salt Lake Temple worker. She was a loving, conscientious mother, a wonderful homemaker and an excellent seamstress. She had a love of good literature and enjoyed traveling to exotic places with her husband. Barry and Ora were blessed with three wonderful children, David Collette Wride of Salt Lake City; Sandra Arcularius Entzminger Larry of Carlsbad, CA; and Rebecca Hartvigsen Jim of Centerville, Utah. These three children brought them eleven beautiful grandchildren, Marlo Hansen, Tyler Wride, Jamie Wride, Amber Boyd, Andrew Arcularius deceased, Lisa Arcularius, Heather Hartvigsen, Mary Moon, Ryan Hartvigsen, Jack Hartvigsen, and Matthew Hartvigsen; nine great-grandchildren; Branden, Lauren, Keaton, and Mia Hansen; Addison Wride; Haley, Dallin, and Elijah Moon; and Evi Hartvigsen. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 18, 2006 at the Bountiful Hills Ward Chapel, 1190 East Bountiful Hills Drive. A viewing will be held Friday, November 17, 2006 from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. at the Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main and Saturday morning 9:45 -10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment-Bountiful City Cemetery.
