Nathan Ellis Johnson

1965 ~ 2021

Nathan Ellis Johnson, 55, of Clinton, UT, passed away unexpectedly early in the morning on July 8, 2021.

Nathan was born on August 24, 1965, to Ivan Johnson and Martha Johnson Goodrich in Idaho Falls, Idaho. He is survived by his loving wife, Gay Karleen Johnson, and his three children, Logan Reilly Johnson (Ashley Zampedri), Chelsea Corrine Johnson, and Ashley Paige Johnson (Rourke Loftus). He is also survived by his four siblings, Robert Johnson, David Johnson, Ann Marie Ross, and Allan Johnson, in addition to many nieces, and nephews. Nathan leaves behind countless beloved families, friends, coworkers, and his “unadopted” grandkids. All of whom will deeply miss his warm heart and kind generosity.  He is proceeded in death by his father Ivan Ellis Johnson, his mother Martha Lenore Johnson Goodrich, his niece Tara, and father-in-law Robert McBratney

Nathan grew up in Idaho Falls, Idaho. At the age of 19 he served an LDS mission in Santa Rosa, California. He attended Ricks College, where he met his beautiful wife. He proceeded to graduate from Idaho State University with a business degree. For the last 19 years, Nathan has lived in Clinton, UT, where he and his wife have raised their three wonderful children. If Nathan were here, he would tell you that getting to be a father, was one of the greatest blessings in his life.

In his free time, Nathan enjoyed reading, fishing, golfing, cooking, trying to make people laugh with all his jokes, and spending as much time as he could with his family. Nathan loved sharing his gift of cooking with everyone.

Nathan was the definition of Christlike. He could easily make friends with anyone he met. He was so quick to help anyone in need, and he always put everyone else’s needs before his own.  Nathan loved his family more than anything else.
