Mitchell Todd Johansen

It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of our Mitch who passed away in his sleep the morning of January 12, 2026.

He was so loved by all who knew him. He was the greatest son, brother, husband, father, friend and fearless Viking.

Mitch was born January 26, 1982, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Ray & Patty Johansen.

He graduated from Viewmont High School in 2000 where he played football, which he loved.

Mitch served a 2-year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Dallas, Texas from 2001-2003.

He attended DATC and received his welding certificate. He was a welder for 20 years and loved it.

He is survived by his adoring wife, Brynne, and daughter and little buddy Mila and son, Zak, his parents, his siblings; Jason, Kelli (Scot), Melissa (Brad), Zach (Alyse), loving in laws, Walt & Ann Webster and family, and so many many friends.

Be sure to hug your children no matter how big or small they are and never let go.

Mitch will be missed terribly.

A viewing will be held Wednesday, January 21, 2026, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Centerville North Stake Center, 1461 North Main Street, Centerville, Utah.
