Minnie Helen Heckert Sloan

February 11, 1934 — September 24, 2021

On February 11, 1924, Minnie Helen Heckert Sloan was born. She left us on
Sepetmber 24, 2021 to be reunited with her “sweetheart” and “Poppy”, Dean Sloan.
She was born in Bluff City, Kansas to Elmer Harrison and Vera LaRue Bishop Heckert.
In the mid 1930s, the family moved across the state to Tribune, Kansas by horse and
wagon, where her father became a wheat farmer and cattleman. During her 97 years,
Helen witnessed dust bowls, The Great Depression, world wars, men on the moon,
and the age of technology.

Her most prized possessions and greatest accomplishments in this life have been her
children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She never missed an opportunity to
share their adventures, talents, and most recent accolades. Her sense of humor was
contagious and her “Grannyisms” would send us into fits of laughter.

Helen is preceeded in death by her parents, siblings, Elmer, Carl, Hattie, Eugene
Heckert, and her husband, Dean Sloan.

She is survived by her children, Bill LeBow of Chandler, Arizona, Marilyn (Brady) Koroulis
of Kaysville, Utah, Martha (Bill) Clemson of Elizabeth, Colorado, and David (Winnie) Sloan of
Simi Valley, California. Helen was blessed with 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to ReNew Home Health and Hospice,
especially to Tammy Goodwin, Kelli Davis and Bailey Sanford for their loving care of Helen and support of family
members. Also, to the administration and staff of Whisper Cove Assisted Living and Memory
Care for being so kind and welcoming to our mother.

A graveside service will be conducted at the Farmington City Cemetery on Friday, October
1, 2021 at 11:00am.
