Michael "Mike" Chris Macfarlane

Mike passed away too soon at the young age of 50. He was the firstborn child of Sheree Ann Evans and Chris Reed Macfarlane.

From beginning to end, Mike was a mischievous, adventurous dreamer with a big heart. He loved making people laugh, pulling good-natured pranks, and sharing quality time—or long phone calls—with the family and friends he held dear. An avid outdoorsman, nature was his true home away from home. He enjoyed spending most of his time in places like Bryce Canyon National Park, Zion National Park, and Moab. Mike also had a deep love for animals, especially dogs, and spent many happy hours thrifting in search of hidden treasures. An essential part of his wardrobe was a comfortable beanie.

Above all, Mike cherished his family. He held a special bond with his granddaughter, Raiya, who lovingly called him "Papa.”

He was excited to welcome his newborn grandson, Andrew, this past May into the world.

Mike is survived by his daughter, Isabella Sunshine Salvesen (Thomas); his grandchildren, Raiya and Andrew; his stepfather Eric Evans; his father, Chris Macfarlane; his siblings, Lisa Tubbs, Madison Bass (Stephen), JT Evans, Delanie Evans, and Scott Evans (Courtney); his niece, BreeAnn Tubbs; his nephews, Braden Tubbs, and Bodhi Bass; and many cherished relatives and lifelong friends he considered as family.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Sheree Ann Evans, who was his best friend and biggest supporter. His family finds great comfort in knowing they are reunited once again. He will be deeply missed.
