Michael Goodrich

August 14, 2002 — March 15, 2026

Our dear Michael was born on August 14th, 2002. As the youngest child, he came as a happy surprise. We were overjoyed to welcome another sibling to the family, and excitedly helped our parents pick out his name. Michael was the best of all of us, he embodied goodness, love, kindness, and compassion. Michael was a skilled pianist, bringing joy to all who heard him play. Watching his fingers dance on the keys was something like watching a prodigy come into their own. He had a deep love for the ocean and wanted to explore the depths of its mysteries one day. He enjoyed scuba diving, hiking, exploring, and canyoneering. Michael had a gentle love for all animals.

Michael had a quiet understanding of others, bringing a soothing and calm energy that was unlike anything else. To be in his presence was to feel seen. Michael’s beautiful heart touched the lives of everyone who had the opportunity to cross his path.

His intellect was unmatched, as he loved to learn and share with others through teaching. He taught for a few years at the high school he graduated from, providing his students with a unique experience. He cared deeply about all, and sought to find purpose and meaning in this life.

He served a mission for two years and during that time he found his calling, to serve others. He realized he wanted to bring light into the dark corners of this earth, by dedicating himself to this pursuit. He saw the pain others carried and wanted to help them with their burdens, knowing himself how difficult and heavy that pain could be to carry alone. He began seeking out classes with the goal in mind to become a healer, in hopes of bringing light to humanity.

Our sweet Michael left this earth on March 15th, 2026, much too soon at the age of 23. He will forever be loved, remembered, and mourned by his parents, Ethan and Iride Goodrich, his siblings and in-laws, Ilez & JR, Mimi & Danny, Lucia & Victor, Jessica & Jesse, Cherisse & Tanner, Luis & Nely, and his nieces and nephews, Corban, Riley, Ada, Kadynce, Emme, Wells, and Victoria, his best friend, Liz and the dogs that he loved, Koda and Izzy.

A viewing will be held Friday, March 20, 2026, from 6:00–8:00 p.m. at Russon Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful. Funeral service will be held Saturday, March 21, 2026 at 11:00 a.m., at the Woods Cross 17th Ward, 1847 West 2150 South, Woods Cross, UT 84087 where a viewing will be held from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to services. Interment at Lakeview Cemetery.

A Lifetime Apart

  • We stood with tears as we learned you departed,
  • And said goodbye, brokenhearted.

  • Ripples of loss tightly grip my heart.
  • I cannot fathom, a lifetime apart.

  • The aches, the struggles, you had to endure.
  • Yet you remained a heart so pure.

  • We stand with tears, anguished and broken,
  • We’ll hold the pain of your words unspoken.

  • This world can be cruel- filled with sorrow and pain.
  • This family’s loss will be God’s gain.

  • You gave us all one last adieu,
  • The world feels darker without you.

  • My heart cries into my tightened chest,
  • As we prepare to lay you to rest.

  • Your hidden sorrows are now released,
  • We hope your soul has finally found peace.

  • Forever etched into our hearts & minds,
  • A love that time nor loss unbinds.

  • Together we stand brokenhearted,
  • And carry the pain you left, when you departed.
