Maxwell Parker Manning

May 14, 1999 — June 28, 2024

Max Manning unexpectedly passed away at age 25, from a pulmonary thromboembolism on Friday, June 28th 2024.

Max was born on May 14th, 1999, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to his loving parents Kenneth Manning and Christine Manning (Scholz). Max graduated from Woods Cross High School in May 2017. Max worked at FedEx in Woods Cross and was recognized for superior work performance and was awarded the “purple dot award” multiple times. He met his lovely fiance, Kiara Rivera, at FedEx and they quickly fell in love. They got engaged on the Oceanside Pier in California in November of 2023. Max and Kiara enjoyed swing dancing to Frank Sinatra, hiking with friends, listening to Elvis Presley and Baha Men, and watching movies together. Their time together was precious and Max was always really good at saying “I love you,” through both his actions and his words.

Max had a knack for making people laugh with his diabolical sense of humor. He was notorious for his wit and ability to come up with the best one-liners. Max was no stranger to pranking his loved ones and coming up with genius inventions to do so. Max was an animal lover and especially loved his and Kiara’s 18 foot long granite burmese python, Cornflake. He had many exotic animals, such as tarantulas, a scorpion and multiple reptiles.

Max could be found fishing at Bountiful Pond, hiking Utah’s scenic trails, tending to his pets and hanging out with friends and loved ones during his free time. Max loved the ocean and played hard with his family by boogie boarding, body surfing and fishing with his dad. Max was fearless as he caught sharks, stingrays, crabs, starfish and octopus; and was always willing to help his family members face their fears and hold them.

Max always wanted the best for those he loved. He was a hard worker who served his family and friends and always provided comfort when they were afraid. Max always knew how to cheer you up when you were down.

He is survived by his loving parents, Christine and Ken, his adoring fiance Kiara, his siblings, Tyson (Brooke), Britni (Tom), Emily (Michael), Tori (Dougie), Josh Manning, his nephews Parker, Calvin, James; Great Grandma Kathern Marks, Grandma Vicki Scholz, Grandma Dianne Manning, many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his Great Grandpa Joseph Marks, Grandpa Timothy Manning, Grandpa Darrell Scholz, Uncle Wayne Scholz, and other dear friends.

There will be a service to celebrate Max’s life on Friday, July 5th, 2024 at 11:00 am at Russon Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful, Utah, where a viewing will be held from 10:00 - 10:45 a.m. prior to services. He will be laid to rest immediately following the services at the Bountiful Cemetery.
