Mary Joan Trimble

October 8, 1931 — May 30, 2026

“Bonie Joanie” died today, May 20, 2026. She was born October 8, 1931 to Sam and Florence Trimble in Salt Lake City, Utah. The family moved to Farmersville, Texas when she was 6 months old and moved back to Utah when she was six.

She attended elementary schools in Salt Lake, Kaysville, Bountiful, Centerville and West Bountiful, then South Davis Jr. High (which is now Bountiful Jr. High) and graduated from Davis High School and studied one year at Utah State University.

In 1960 she moved to Monterey, California. She kept books for Coca Cola and later for the Pebble Beach Equestrian Park. She loved working for the companies.

In 1992 she moved back to Utah and kept books for a couple of trucking companies in Salt Lake City. She worked till she was 87.

Joan was an expert seamstress, a good artist and she loved trying out new appliances, lawnmowers, make-up and whatever - it all interested her. She could do about anything.SHE LOVED CATS, and always had one or two.

She spent her last three years flat on her back in bed because of Parkinsons disease. She bore it like a champion. Her attitude was “It is what it is”. She was a very good patient.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Bob. She is survived by her sister, Sue (Harold) Shafter, her son, Paul Siems, two grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A family celebration will be held in June.

Rejoice! She is free!
