Mary Edith (Hutchinson) Timothy

Mary Edith (Hutchinson) Timothy, age 82, died on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at home, surrounded by her Husband and children. Mary was born in Evanston, Wyoming, in the Sims Hotel, on December 18th, 1943.

Mary grew up in a loving home with three siblings: Glenna (Larry) Grandia, Robert (Linda) Hutchinson, and Van (Laurie) Hutchinson. She loved her parents, Glenn and Gladys Hutchinson, deeply. Mary had a happy childhood, growing up on her family’s Cattle Ranch in Hilliard Flat, southeast of Evanston, Wyoming. She was a free-spirited child who spent her time climbing her favorite tree and riding horses.

Mary got married to her high school sweetheart, Arthur Timothy Jr., on January 9th, 1961, and they were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. Together, they had six children: Bruce (Tami) Timothy, Brent (Amanda) Timothy, Brad (Stephanie) Timothy, Elise Timothy, Diana (Robert) Lewis, and Kimberley Timothy. She adored every one of her 22 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Family meant everything to Mary. Her children were her whole world, and she loved with all her heart and soul. No matter how many of us there were, Grandma made sure there was enough room on her lap for everyone.

Mary loved reading, researching genealogy, telling stories, and watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren play. She enjoyed musicals and sang silly songs to her children and grandchildren every chance she had.

She had a tremendous faith in her Heavenly Father, which she shared often with others. Through her many callings in the LDS church, she showed her love for her Savior and she led her family with steadfast faith.

Mary will be reunited in heaven with her mother and father, her sweet grandson Todd Micheal Timothy, and great-grandson Kip Alan Bulow.

Family and friends are invited to attend a viewing on Sunday, April 26th, 2026, from 6:00–8:00 p.m. at Russon Mortuary, 295 N. Main, Bountiful, Utah.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 27th, 2026, at the mortuary with a viewing from 8:30–9:30 a.m. prior to services. Interment will be at Centerville City Cemetery, 650 East 400 South, Centerville, Utah.

If Heaven is anything like Mary’s family ranch in Evanston, she will be out in the fields letting the wind blow through her hair, picking wildflowers.
