Mary Edgard Reid Connary 1914-2005

Mary passed away peaceably on March 31, 2005. She died at home in the care of her beloved daughter, Camilla. She was born on July 5, 1914 to John Ernest Reid and Mary Alice Hazen Reid. Mary was proud to be in the last graduating class of LDS College in 1931. She married her sweetheart, Glen L. Connary, in the Salt Lake Temple, on June 11, 1936 and has treasured her Temple Recommend ever since. She was born, lived and died in Rose Park, 29th Ward.

She held numerous church positions, including president of the Relief Society, the MIA and the Primary. Mary was ?Mrs. Clean? and had tremendous organizational skills. She was a great seamstress and worked at Pioneer Furniture for thirty years. Her greatest ?Treasures? were her family, where she was loved as ?Grandma? by her nephews and nieces as well as her own grandchildren.

Mary was preceded in death by her sweetheart, Glen and a son-in-law, Anthony M. Mora. She is survived by her son, G. LeVerle Connary Julia and her daughter Camilla Bishop Grant. She was blessed to know, love and care for 6 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 1 great, great grandchild. Mary left her family with the greatest of all gifts – the gift of ?Love?.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 5, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. in the Riverside 29th Ward, 1100 West 500 North, Salt Lake City. Friends may call Monday, April 4, 2005 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Russon Brothers Salt Lake Mortuary, 255 South 200 East, and Prior to services at the ward from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens of the Valley, 1700 East, 10600 South, Sandy.
