Listen to Obituary

Marjorie Anne Cutler Page was a homemaker in every sense of the word. She was born July 20th, 1923, to Ray and Kate Cutler. She graduated from South High in 1941and in 1944 she met Clyde Cyrus Page. After he returned from serving in WW II, they were married on June 12th, 1946, in the Salt Lake Temple. Soon after, Dad built her a house, and mom created a home where she would love and care for her family to come, which began with the arrival of their son Brent, followed by a daughter Andrea and three more sons, Dennis, Steve and Rick. Later, another son, Albert became part of the family through the Indian Student Placement Program. 17 grandchildren followed, then 36 great-grandchildren and 4 great -great grandchildren. On October 28th, 2026, at the age of 103, she peacefully passed away in that home. And what an inviting and comforting place it was, where all who passed through over the years felt warm, fed, safe, happy and loved.

When you walked through the door of that home on Millcreek Way, you never knew where you might find her.

Maybe you would be greeted by the hum of the sewing machine and would find her in her sewing room, a place where Christmas presents, doll clothes, prom dresses, bridesmaid dresses, Sunday ties, quilts and clothing had been sewn for those she loved over the years. Or you may find her at her computer designing and printing out birthday cards that she sent, without fail, to each of her posterity every year; a card which always included a little money.

Or perhaps you would find her in the garden, picking fruit from the trees, berries from the bushes or beans from the ground, fruits of Dad’s labor to be cooked and canned to feed others

But most often, the smell of baking bread would lead you to her kitchen. This was the heart of the home and grandma’s favorite place to be, where countless meals had been prepared with such love. The cookie jar was never empty and there was never a family gathering or holiday without her homemade rolls. Many of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren stood with her in her kitchen as she passed on her recipes, patiently teaching them to make her rolls, bake cookies or how to can fruit. And it wasn’t just her family that Mom fed. Whether it was preparing dinners for new mothers or sick neighbors, the decades long neighborhood tradition of homemade Halloween doughnuts, feeding hungry students as a beloved lunch lady, or cooking for the young women at Girls Camp, feeding people was her language of love.

Mom’s home offered love and comfort in tangible ways, but it was the intangible that is perhaps more precious. She showed amazing devotion to her family, kindness to those around her, and faithfully served her Heavenly Father and blessed the lives of others through the callings she held in the church and the ways in which she shared her testimony of the Gospel and of Jesus Christ through words, but mostly by example; with her family, her neighbors and with the people of the Micronesian Islands where she served a mission with her husband from 1985 to 1987.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 75 years, her daughter Andrea, daughter-in-law, Nancy Page and a grandson-in-law, Les Falatea. She is survived by her sister Sylvia, four sons, Brent, Dennis (Intok), Steve (Michelle), Rick (Lori) and Albert Page Tinhorn (Tammy) as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and extended family and friends who will miss her dearly.
