In 1974 she began work at the Associated Federal Employees Federal Credit Union as a teller, eventually reaching the position of Manager and CEO during her 30+ year career. In retirement, Jim and Margie traveled extensively throughout the highways and byways of the U.S. as members of the Utah Miata Club. Margie served as Treasurer of the Miata Club for 11 years. She also helped organize many rallies for the Club.
Margie was a loving mother to two sons: Scott (Susan) Newson and Chris (Valerie) Newson.
