Marjorie Tinie Olsen Moody, 95 years old peacefully passed away on January 11, 2026.

Born in Murray Utah on August 11, 1930 to Joseph William Olsen and Ruby Annetta Miller.Marjorie was the 9th of 11 children, raised on the Olsen Farm in West Bountiful, Utah. She went to Davis High School and was in the Miss Cantaloupe Queen royalty of Davis County 1946. She was a very good student and went on to attend Brigham Young University where she was a member of the Cougarette Dance Team.

Married to Richard Dean Moody (later divorced), they had 8 children: Steven Moody (deceased), Gary Moody, Jaynee (Keith) Morse, Margie(John) Mettenet, Jon (Debbie) Moody, Cheri (Stan) Kimball, Robin (Jim) Harper, and Debra (Jim) Swanson. They lived in many parts of the US including: Southern California, Arizona, New York and Utah. She was a beloved mother of 8, and had 30 grandchildren, 80 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her parents, brother Terrence Olsen, sister Dorothy Servoss, brother Dean Olsen, sister Lucille Servoss, brother Neal "Bud" Olsen, sister Evelyn Green, sister Virginia Richards, brother Halvor Olsen, (baby sister Grace who died at birth), son Steven Moody, and grandson Janssen Morse. Survived by sister Karen Hatch.

Marjorie loved serving others. She had many callings in the church but her favorite callings was serving in the Bountiful Temple and serving as a missionary at the Salt Lake City Utah Temple Square.

She loved her Norwegian and Danish heritage. She belonged to the Sons of Norway for many years. She was an artist and loved to paint and left a legacy of many pieces she had created for her posterity. She was committed to taking care of her children and learned to be a smart business woman. She started many different businesses; and because of her knowledge about nutrition and her natural talent of caring about people, she was able to be quite successful and help thousands of people with her health and wellness business for over 40 years.She loved to travel and through her business, she earned many bonus trips around the world. She was a giver, giving away all of her wealth to help others. A great cook, she loved to dance and most of all, she loved her FAMILY. She wanted her family to know that she will always be with them and that she will always love them.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 24, 2026 at the West Bountiful 6th Ward Chapel, 900 West 1750 North, West Bountiful. A viewing will be held Friday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Russon Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful, Utah and Saturday morning 9:30-10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment will be at the Bountiful City Cemetery.
