MarJean Mae Angus Picard

June 10, 1938 — November 22, 2022

Centerville, UT

MarJean Mae Angus Picard (84) was born June 10, 1938, in Salt Lake City and died peacefully on November 22, 2022, in Centerville, Utah, of natural causes.

The daughter of Willam G. Gunn and May S. Burrell, MarJean survived her first husband, McKinney (Mack) Angus, to later marry Jon Raymond Picard, who also preceded MarJean in death.

MarJean attended Granite High School. She raised her only child, Kristy J. Nokes, in South Salt Lake. When she and Mack married, MarJean retired from Holy Cross Hospital where she’d worked in Central Supply. She and Mack enjoyed wintering in Yuma, Arizona, returning to their home in West Jordan, Utah, each spring.

After grieving Mack’s passing, MarJean found new love with Jon Picard and continued living in West Jordan where Jon later passed away. When MarJean became unable to manage alone, her grandchildren moved her to their father’s home in Centerville where she enjoyed her remaining years in his diligent care.

Surviving MarJean is her daughter, Kristy Nokes. Her grandchildren include Erich, Jodie, Ryan, Sean, Adam Diener. One grandson, Kristopher Diener, preceded MarJean in death. She also has nine great-grandkids and two great-great-grandkids.

Kristy and her kids wish to extend enormous thanks to Doyle and Becki Diener as well as Aunt Leslie for the loving care and kindness shown to “Grams” the past five years in their home where MarJean lived out her final days.

Thanks also go to the amazing staff at South Davis Community Hospital where MarJean completed several rehabilitations as well as South Davis Hospice, who helped her through her final days at home.

A family-only memorial service will be held Friday, December 2, 2022, at the Russon Mortuary in Bountiful, Utah, followed by MarJean’s interment at Redwood Memorial Estates in West Jordan.
