Marie Lodder

Our beloved mother, Marie Saccomanno Lodder, passed away on October 3, 2026. Marie was born in Spring Glen, Utah on December 16, 1938, to Charlie and Grace Saccomanno.

Marie was one of five children and extremely proud of her Italian heritage. She grew up on a farm, with her grandparents living nearby. These early experiences helped shape her strong work ethic, discipline and deep commitment to family. The traditions she grew up with remained close to her heart.

After graduating from Carbon High School, she moved to Salt Lake City, where she met her future husband, Court Lodder. They were married a short time later and began a life together that would include raising their three children, Kim, Peter, and Chuck.

Mom had a natural talent for managing finances and maintaining a balanced budget. She played an important role in helping her husband build a successful land development and construction company. Later in life, she continued her career in real estate working as an agent for Wardley Better Homes and Gardens.

While Mom accomplished much in her professional life, her true love was her family. Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were the center of her world. She was deeply involved in the formative years of her grandchildren. She cared greatly about their early development and enrolled some of them in phonics classes to help give them a strong foundation in reading.

Her legacy will live on by the memories she created and the love she passed down to her children and grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at Russon Mortuary, 295 North Main Street, Bountiful, Utah, where a viewing will be held prior to the service from 9:00 – 9:45 a.m. Interment at Memorial Lakeview Cemetery, 1640 Lakeview Drive, Bountiful, Utah.
