MARIANNE JOHANNE OESER

Our loving Mom, Oma, Sister and Aunt passed away March 15, 2007. She was born in Zwickau, Germany on June 18, 1913. She was surely greeted by her husband, Johannes Helmut Oeser; her mother Elisabeth Marie Beckert; her sister Charlotte Saeuberlich and many friends. Her husband Helmut never returned from WWII. She never remarried and waited for his return. Mom worked hard all her life and immigrated through Canada to Salt Lake City, Utah from Zwickau, Germany in 1957. Johanne was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints – German speaking Ward. She enjoyed singing in the German Choir for many years.

Johanne is survived by her only son, Gunter Sandy Oeser, her grandsons, Steven Brenda Oeser, David Judy Oeser; her great-grandchildren Krista, Jesse Lee, Mitchell, Hanna Jo her namesake and Tomas Oeser; her sisters Marianne Neumann, Ingeborg Walter Fassmann, and many nieces and nephews. Our family wishes to thank the nurses and staff of St. Joseph Villa 3 North for the loving care provided during her stay there.

Funeral services will be held Monday, March 19, 2007 at 12:00 noon in the Douglas Ward 721 South 1200 East, SLC Friends may call Monday at the Ward from 10:45 to 11:45 am. Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery. Funeral directors, Russon Brothers. Online guestbook at www.russonmortuary.com
