MaeDean Chatterton Hall

MaeDean was born to Ellis and Vera (Roholt) Chatterton on August 29th, 1940, in Wendell, Idaho, and is the oldest of 3 children. MaeDean was a model student with perfect grades and attendance through grade school.

In the spring of 1955, while attending a seminary picnic, she met the love of her life Zan Rodger Hall. Rodger never got down on one knee to propose but they knew they were meant to be so they were married for time and all Eternity in the Idaho Falls LDS temple on February 14th, 1958. MaeDean and Rodger loved telling their grandkids, who found it very funny, how grandpa had to sign school papers for grandma as her guardian because she was only 17 and still in High School when they were married.

In 1964, they packed up their 3 young children and moved from their small home in Pocatello, Idaho, to Salt Lake City, Utah, in hopes of Rodger finding a better job and shortly after welcomed their youngest child. MaeDean loved serving her family and the community by joining the PTA and holding many church callings including Relief Society president.

They bought their forever home in Bountiful, Utah, in 1972 where they raised their 4 children and enjoyed having their grandchildren and great-grandchildren come play in the yard. MaeDean spent her golden years doting on her grandchildren, planning family reunions, sewing, crocheting, quilting and enjoying the outdoors with her husband on their ATVs

MaeDean was preceded in death by her parents Ellis and Vera Chatterton, husband Zan Rodger Hall, son Darin Hall, son-in-law Allan Halliday Jr. and great-granddaughter Haylie Young. She is survived by her son Bryce Hall, daughters Valorie (Kirk) Wimmer and Zanette Halliday, brothers Cleve (Judy) Chatterton and Boyde (Karen) Chatterton, 22 grandchildren, 58 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Viewing and condolences will take place Thursday, December 8th, 2022, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Russon's Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main Street, Bountiful, Utah.
