With heavy hearts and deep respect, We mourn a man of “God's elect”. He passed the veil to Christ Jesus’ side, on Wednesday eve, March 25.
His name is Lynn David, of house McKee, born to Lawrence David and Naomi. In Springville, Utah, he was born; in Beaver, Utah, he was raised; he then matured throughout those University of Utah days.
In West Berlin, Lynn served the Lord, and testified of “truth restored”. He blessed the people as God would; gave hope and purpose as Jesus could.
While in college, he met a girl, Mary, who won his heart and changed his world. In the Salt Lake Temple, they would be sealed for all eternity.
He lived a life of working hard; phone company, and diesel refinery yard; from building homes and fixing much, to teaching high school math and such. Lynn excelled at a job he’d perfect; breaking the mold of genius IT Tech.
An “elect lady” stood apart that sacred, somber night; his soulmate Mary; best friend, an angel light. Hand in hand, tried and true, faithful years; 62 (+ infinity).
Grandchildren (17), and children (4), then came the “greats” (13 adored). From playing games and endless laughter, he bore witness of a sinless Master. Countless parties and trips to temples, he stood up tall, led by example.
Survived in life; his sweetheart Mary; children: Michael (Maritza), Becky, Darin (Sherilynne), and Sean (Collette). There is one man, a polished pearl; whom Lynn revered, adored; sweet brother Verl (Joan).
Preceded in passing, we'll start with great fathers; Lawrence McKee, Rex Packard, and Hughes, Arthur. His mother Naomi, an “elect lady”; brother Earl Packard, a little infant baby. Older sister, “sis” MaryAnn Williams and husband Cullen “Red”. Marie Packard then would shine, family strong and gospel led.
A caring husband, friend and father, grandpa, uncle, brother; has raised life's bar, unlike any other. A treasured leader, a proved chosen great, devoted, faithful, and true to, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
